Your opinions, your job knowledge, and your everyday experiences are worth something to the companies building tomorrow’s products. Here’s how to turn them into $75 to $300 per study.
Every product you use, from the software on your work laptop to the snacks in your pantry, was shaped by real people sharing honest feedback. Before a company launches a new app, redesigns a website, or decides how to price a service, it wants to hear from the people who will actually use it.
That’s where you come in.
At InterQ Research, we run paid research studies for some of the world’s best-known brands in technology, healthcare, construction, consumer goods, and the public sector. We’re always looking for thoughtful people to join those conversations. If you have opinions and a little time, you can sign up to participate in InterQ studies today. It’s free and takes about a minute.
What Is a Paid Research Study?
A paid research study is a structured conversation where a company (through a research firm like InterQ) pays you for your time and honest input. There are no right or wrong answers and nothing to sell. You simply share your experiences, react to ideas, and help a team understand how real people think.
Most InterQ studies take one of two formats:
- Online in-depth interviews (IDIs). A one-on-one video conversation with a professional moderator, usually 30 to 60 minutes. You might talk through how you use a product, walk through a website while sharing your screen, or give feedback on a new concept.
- Online focus groups. A small group discussion, typically with 4 to 8 participants, led by a moderator over video. Paid online focus groups are a great fit if you enjoy hearing other perspectives and bouncing ideas around.
Because nearly all of our research happens online, you can participate from home or your office. All you need is a reliable internet connection, a computer with a webcam, and a quiet space.
B2B and B2C Studies: There’s a Fit for Almost Everyone
Our research falls into two broad categories, and many people qualify for both.
B2B (business-to-business) research studies are for working professionals. Companies want to learn from people who make decisions, use specialized tools, or manage teams in their field. We regularly recruit IT leaders, software developers, architects, engineers, construction managers, healthcare professionals, finance and accounting staff, small business owners, and many other roles. If you have expertise in your industry, your perspective is especially valuable, and paid B2B research studies typically offer higher incentives to reflect that.
B2C (business-to-consumer) research studies are for everyday people. These studies explore how you shop, what you eat, how you take care of your health, which apps you use, and how you make decisions at home. No special credentials are required. Your real-life experience is the expertise.
Whether you’re a CTO or a busy parent, your honest point of view helps companies build better products.
How Much Do Paid Research Studies Pay?
InterQ studies typically pay anywhere from $75 to $300, depending on the length of the session and the level of expertise the study requires. In general:
- Consumer studies tend to fall toward the lower to middle end of the range.
- Professional and B2B studies tend to pay more, especially when the topic calls for specialized knowledge or decision-making authority.
- Highly specialized experts, such as senior executives, clinicians, or technical specialists, are usually at the top of the range.
The exact incentive for each study is always shared with you up front, before you agree to participate. No surprises.

Tips for Getting Selected More Often
Every study has specific criteria, so not every invitation will be a match. A few habits will improve your chances of being chosen:
- Answer screeners honestly. Clients need to hear from the right people. Accurate answers help us match you with studies where your experience truly matters, and inconsistent answers can disqualify you from future projects.
- Respond quickly. Popular studies fill fast. Checking your email and replying promptly makes a real difference.
- Keep your information current. New job? Moved to a new city? Let us know, so we can match you with the right paid market research studies.
- Show up prepared. Log in a few minutes early, test your camera and audio, and find a quiet spot. Reliable participants are the ones we invite back.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it cost anything to join?
No. Signing up for InterQ research studies is always free. Legitimate research firms pay you, not the other way around.
How often will I be invited to studies?
It depends on your background and the projects we have running. Some people hear from us often, while others with niche expertise are invited less frequently but for higher-paying studies.
Do I need any special experience to participate?
Not for consumer studies. For B2B studies, we look for people with specific professional roles or industry experience, and we’ll always explain the requirements in the screener.
Are the studies in person or online?
Most InterQ studies are online in-depth interviews or online focus groups, so you can join from anywhere with a webcam and internet connection. We occasionally run in-person studies as well.
Will my answers be kept confidential?
Yes. Your feedback is used for research purposes only, and your personal information is not shared with anyone.
